Use this PAT Testing Checklist Template to inspect and record the safety status of electrical appliances, ensuring compliance with workplace regulations.

1. Is the appliance casing free from cracks, damage, or burn marks?

2. Are all plugs securely fitted with no signs of overheating?

3. Is the power cable free of cuts, frays, or exposed wires?

4. Is the plug properly wired with the correct fuse installed?

5. Are the pins on the plug straight and undamaged?

6. Are there any signs of liquid ingress or contamination?

1. Does the appliance have a visible asset or identification label?

2. Is the previous PAT test label present and legible?

3. Is the next test due date clearly marked on the appliance?

1. Does the appliance operate correctly when switched on?

2. Are all switches, buttons, and indicators functioning as intended?

3. Does the appliance power off safely without delay?

1. Is the earth continuity reading within acceptable limits (usually <0.1 ohm)?

2. Is the earth connection secure and continuous from plug to casing?

3. Was the test conducted with the correct settings and equipment?
