Hand Hygiene Audit

1. Alcohol gel is used, and WHO hand hygiene technique is followed.

2. Where hands visibly dirty, WHO hand washing technique is followed.

3. ‘Bare below the elbow’ policy adopted where relevant.

4. No jewellery or wristwatches.

5. After hand washing, hands are dried using disposable paper towels.

6. Hand hygiene policy and procedures are in place and up to date.

7. Staff are trained in hand hygiene techniques.

8. Hand hygiene compliance is monitored regularly.
