Use the ADA Inspection Checklist to evaluate facilities' accessibility to identify barriers and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

1. Is the main entrance accessible without stairs or equipped with a compliant ramp?

2. Is there at least one entrance with a door that is 32 inches wide when open?

3. Are door handles operable with one hand and do not require tight grasping or twisting?

4. Is the path from parking to the entrance stable, firm, and slip-resistant?

5. Are curb ramps available where sidewalks meet parking lots or roads?

1. Are accessible parking spaces provided in the correct ratio based on total spaces?

2. Are accessible spaces at least 8 feet wide with an adjacent 5-foot access aisle?

3. Are van-accessible spaces 11 feet wide with a 5-foot aisle or 8 feet wide with an 8-foot aisle?

4. Are accessible parking spaces located on the shortest accessible route to the entrance?

5. Are parking spaces marked with the International Symbol of Accessibility?

1. Are interior routes free of steps or abrupt level changes greater than ½ inch?

2. Is there at least a 36-inch wide accessible path throughout public areas?

3. Are hallway surfaces stable, firm, and slip-resistant?

4. Are there visual and tactile signs to help guide individuals with disabilities?
