Use this Pump Commissioning Checklist template to verify installation and confirm that all pump systems function well and meet safety standards.

1. Is the completion of equipment installation in all respects as per respective drawings/documents?

2. Are bearings and hydraulic coupling lubricated with specified lubricant?

3. Are the couplings in perfect alignment?

4. Are coupling bolts and guards installed?

5. Is the rotor free in its bearings?

6. Is the pump/engine rotating direction correctly? (The orientation of the pump must match the arrow.)

7. Are instrumentation and protection devices checked by simulation? Are measuring and monitoring instruments okay?

8. Is the oil flushing of the oil circuit over successfully? Is new oil filled in the hydraulic coupling and oil circuit?

9. Is the reverse rotation detection switch on hydraulic coupling and protection okay?

10. Are holding-down bolts fitted securely?

11. Are leakage lines for drain, wind, and gland directed correctly to prevalent drains?

12. Are the automatic recirculation valves and back pressure valves correctly fitted in the recirculation line?

13. Are oil coolers, oil pipes, and cooling water pipelines installed properly as per the Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and General Arrangement (GA)?

14. Are mechanical seals checked?

15. Are the Discharge Valves of Pumps kept closed?

16. Are Line Vents kept open?
