1. Decking free of major cracks, stains or damage?

2. Cracks or staining indicating a broken plumbing pipe or leaks under the deck?

3. Skimmer lids checked to see if there is any damage?

4. Skimmer lids the correct size and secured properly?

5. Any missing skimmer lids?

6. Are all plastic control joints, zip strips or plastic drain channels in the concrete looked at for damage or could they be a trip hazard?

7. Decks around the pool free from loose objects and clutter?

8. Surfaces leading to the pool, including the deck and steps are slip-resistant?

9. No standing puddles on the deck?

1. Is water on pool deck draining or flowing back into the pool?

2. Is the concrete deck sloping away from the pool or to drains located in the pool deck?

3. Any missing drain covers or damaged covers?

4. Joint between the coping and pool deck examined to ensure that there is a mastic seal in good shape to prevent water from entering this gap?

1. Any missing, cracked or damaged tile?

2. Any mineral buildup, mold or mildew in the tile grout?

3. Pool body surface or finish materials checked for staining, calcium build-ups, cracks, flaking, damage and lack of maintenance?

3. Seals checked and filter O-rings inspected?

4. Heaters operated and checked for any rodents or other pests in them?

5. No low electrical wires over the pool?

6. Are there any electrical outlets too close to the spa or pool?

7. Metal fences, metal gates and other metal items within 5 feet of the pool or spa checked for proper electrical bonding?

1. Steps, treads, ramps, ledges, and other protrusions into the pool were marked with a contrasting color coating or tile on both the top and vertical rise?

2. No unpleasant odors or irritating fumes apparent

3. No physical damage apparent at the pool equipment

4. Main drain grates bolted securely to the pool's bottom

5. Grates visible from the deck, with no damage apparent

6. Drain covers installed
