Use the Mobile Scaffold Checklist to inspect equipment and ensure work location safety to comply with regulations before starting elevated work tasks.

1. Are the manufacturer’s erection guidelines displayed on the scaffold?

2. Are guardrails in place 1m above all decks (including intermediate decks)?

3. Are mid-rails in place on all decks (including intermediate decks)?

4. Are toe-boards in place on all working decks?

5. Are platforms in place at the correct height for work to be undertaken?

6. Is a hinged cover in place for walk-through platforms?

7. Are horizontal braces installed as per the manufacturer’s guidelines?

8. Are diagonal braces installed as per the manufacturer’s guidelines?

9. Is a plan brace in place?

10. Are all castor wheel locks operational?

11. Are adjustable legs operational and at the correct height for the location?

12. Is the access ladder secured in place to the top rung of the scaffold?

13. Are outriggers in place (if required) and is each foot seated on the ground?

1. Is the fall risk over 4 meters?

2. For fall risks over 4 meters, is the scaffold erected and checked by a licensed scaffolder?

3. Is the work to be carried out covered by a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) signed by scaffold users?

4. Has a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) been carried out before commencement?

5. Is the work area free of other risks that need to be controlled (e.g., ground slope, wind loading, etc.)?
