1. Is the load indicator warning (located on the webbing below the dorsal D-Ring pad) inspected to see if any part of it is showing?

2. Is hardware inspected for cracks, sharp edges, deformation, corrosion, rust, or other signs of wear or damage?

3. Are all labels and markings ensured to be legible and attached to the product?

4. Are product inspections ensured to be current and up to date?

5. Are all springs ensured to be in working condition?

6. Are sewn terminations ensured to be secure, complete, and not visibly damaged?

7. Is stitching inspected for pulled, missing, or cut stitches or other signs of wear or damage?

8. Are buckles and D-rings inspected for damage, distortion, cracks, breaks, rough or sharp edges, or other signs of wear or damage?

9. Are buckle attachments inspected for unusual wear, frayed or cut fibers, broken stitching, or other signs of wear or damage?

10. Are buckles ensured to properly engage?

11. Are the outer and center bars on friction and slotted mating buckles ensured to be straight?

12. Is webbing inspected by bending a portion of the webbing six to eight inches (15 to 20 centimeters) into an inverted “U” shape, continuing along all webbing, and inspecting for tears, cuts, fraying, abrasions, discolorization, burns, holes, mold, additional punched holes, missing straps, excessive hardness or brittleness, or other signs of wear or damage?

13. Is all webbing hidden by components inspected by adjusting all keepers, buckles, padding, and D-Ring?

Tongue Buckles/Grommet Tongues Inspection

1. Are tongue buckles/grommet tongues, if supplied, ensured to be free of distortion in shape and motion?

2. Do tongue buckles overlap the buckle frame and move freely in their socket?

4. Are tongue buckles inspected for loose, distorted, or broken grommets (holes)?

Quick-Connect Buckle Inspection

1. Are quick-connect buckles, if supplied, ensured to engage properly by tugging on both halves of the buckle to make sure it will not disengage?

2. Are the quick-connect buckles’ release mechanisms ensured to be free of debris?
