Utilize the Tractor Inspection Checklist to ensure equipment safety and functionality through inspections of fuel systems, windows, brakes, controls, etc.

1. Does tractor have a rollover protective structure (ROPS) or a ROPS equipped cab?

2. If tractor has a ROPS, is seat belt in working condition?

3. Is PTO master shield in place and in good condition?

4. Are fuel, oil and hydraulic systems free of leaks and maintained at recommended levels?

5. Are the operator's platforms free of grease, mud and tool?

6. Do all lights and flashers work?

7. Is the (Slow Moving Vehicle) SMV emblem clean, unfaded and undamaged?

8. Are reflectors clean, unfaded and undamaged?

9. Have defective mufflers and other exhaust components been replaced?

10. Is the drawbar in proper position?

11. Is each tractor equipped with a 10-pound (minimum) ABC type fire extinguisher?

12. Are cab windows and mirrors clean to maintain clear visibility?

13. Are tires in good condition and inflated to the recommended pressure?

14. Can brakes be locked together for road travel?

15. Does the parking brake work?

16. Are controls clearly marked and gauges working properly?

17. Have employees had training on safe operation? [Reference: OSHA 1928.51 (d)]

18. Have operators been instructed on seatbelt use? [Ref: OSHA 1928.51 (b)(2)]

19. Is the operator's manual available to operators?

20. Is a first-aid kit available?

21. Have emergency procedures been provided to operators?
