Use this template to ensure all (automatic) doors are fully functional and operating as expected to avoid accidents, injuries or any other incidents., This checklist has been designed to ensure a thorough deep cleaning is done after any infection within care homes to prevent the spread of infection.

1. Are the glass and surrounding door frames for damage?

2. Is the walk through area clear of any obstructions, trip and slip hazards?

3. Are the units secured to the frame?

4. Is the door signage present?

5. Is the area around the sensors clear of any items that may activate the sensor?

1. Walk towards the door at a steady pace. Is the door opening without you having to stop? Check inside and outside?

2. Place a test box within the door threshold. The door should remain open.

3. Place a test box below each side screen safety sensor and perform an activation. The door should open at a creep speed.

4. Does the door open on a fire alarm activation?

5. Has the door been checked on the various key switch settings?

1. Are the barriers secure?

2. Walk towards the door at a steady pace. The door should open without you having to stop. Check inside and outside.

3. With the doors closed place a test box in the path of the doors and perform an activation. The doors should stop when the safety sensors detect the box (no closer than 200mm).

4. With the doors open place a test box in the path of the doors and allow the doors to close. The doors should reopen when the safety sensors detect the box.

5. Has the door been checked on the various key switch settings?
